The Global Slavery Index estimates that 396,000 people in Vietnam experienced modern slavery.
Blue Dragon is on a mission to end modern slavery in Vietnam. Up to now, the organisation has rescued 1,654 people from forced labour, sex slavery and forced "marriage".
Over the past 20 years, Blue Dragon has developed a ‘whole stream’ approach to effectively stop human trafficking in specific locations and sectors. This includes:
- rescuing children who have been trafficked;
- assisting affected communities with knowledge, education, livelihood and facilities.
- training government agencies and civil society
- contributing to law revision and policy development at a national level.
